The UBC Diploma in Accounting Program (DAP) Student Club is a student-run organization connecting students with members of the accounting world to equip them with the right information and direction to secure a career in the accounting profession upon graduation.

Further, the Club assists firms, associations, and others to meet their recruiting, networking, and informational objectives.

Annual CGA Connect

CGA CaseWare Workshop

The DAP Student Club would like to invite you to a CaseWare Workshop. CaseWare is an auditing software used extensively in both the CGA and CASB education models. It is also used by a majority of auditors in their day-to-day practice. If you are interested in pursuing a career in public practice, this is a great opportunity for you to add valuable skills to your resume! Furthermore, CGA will prepare a certificate for each student attending the workshop.

For those that did not get a chance to register for “A Day in a CA firm”, here is another opportunity to sign up.

Hello DAP Students,

On behalf of the accounting firms, the DAP Student Club would like to invite you to “A Day in a CA Firm” event. This event will serve as an excellent opportunity for students to meet firm representatives as well as an opportunity to tour each firm’s office environment.

Registration will be based on a lottery style, where selection will occur once registration has closed. Students do not have a choice in which firm they attend and those registering should be available for all office tour dates.

Participating firms and dates are as follows:

KPMG – Tuesday, August 9th
1. 9:00 – 11:30 am
2. 1:30 – 4:00 pm

PwC – Wednesday August 17th
1. 10:00 – 2:00 pm

Ernst & Young – Thursday August 18th

Registration will open on Tuesday July 19th @ 11 pm and close on Friday July 22nd @ 11:59 pm.

If you have been selected for “A Day in a CA Firm,” a confirmation email will be sent by Sunday July 24th.

Those not selected will not receive an email; however, a wait list does exist and spots that have been declined will be reselected for.

NOTE: Students are expected to attend dates given and are not allowed to switch sessions.

As per our policy, students have who have registered for previous events and failed to attend are ineligible to attend any of the tours.
